Done-for-you automation setup for trade businesses
We install and test follow-up workflows inside your own n8n, Twilio and Google accounts, then hand them over with notes on how they work. Scope is agreed in writing before any work starts.
Web-form lead follow-up
New website leads are logged to your sheet, checked against your service-area ZIP codes, and get a first reply plus timed follow-ups. Texts go out only if the lead ticked an unticked-by-default SMS box.
Quote follow-up
Polite reminders on open estimates at set intervals. AI-drafted messages go to you for approval by default before anything reaches a customer.
Review requests
One identical, honest review request per completed job. No review gating, no incentives, and only to customers who agreed to hear from you.
Services are not booking yet. Pricing and availability will be posted here when they open. You pay n8n, Twilio, Google and your AI provider directly for your own usage.
Shutoff Labs HVAC & Plumbing Operator Kit
Coming soonA downloadable set of n8n workflows, a Google Sheets CRM template, trade-specific prompts and a plain-English setup guide. You import it into your own n8n and run it on your own Twilio, Google and AI accounts. Shutoff Labs hosts nothing and holds none of your keys or customer data.

What you need
- n8n Cloud or self-hosted n8n
- A Twilio number registered for A2P 10DLC texting (carrier approval can take days to weeks)
- A Google account for Sheets and Gmail
- An AI API key (OpenAI by default; Anthropic, Gemini or a local model also work)
- Your business postal address, plus privacy policy and terms pages on your website
Testing so far: the workflows run in n8n 2.43.8 (self-hosted) against simulated Twilio, Gmail, Google Sheets, OpenAI and weather services. They have not yet been tested on n8n Cloud or against the live providers. US-focused.

Follow-up for people who reached out to you
These automations are for your own customers and people who contacted you. They are built for follow-up with people who reached out, never for cold outreach.
Consent first
Follow-up texts go out only after a recorded opt-in: pressing 1 on a call, replying YES, or ticking a form box that starts unticked. The consent and its timestamp are saved before any follow-up.
STOP and HELP
Replying STOP, or opt-out words like UNSUBSCRIBE or QUIT, or a plain "stop texting me", records an opt-out that the texting workflows check before sending. HELP gets a help reply.
No cold outreach
No outbound calls, no bought or scraped lists, no contact-list imports. Marketing emails go only to customers who opted in, with an ad label, postal address and unsubscribe link.
Quiet hours
Texts are held overnight (8 pm to 8 am by default, adjustable) and sent the next morning.

How we use AI
This website and the Shutoff Labs HVAC & Plumbing Operator Kit were built with AI assistance and reviewed by people.
Some workflows in the kit send message text to an AI model on your account (OpenAI by default) to sort messages by urgency and to draft emails. Texts customers receive are fixed templates you control. AI email drafts go to you for approval by default, and code checks each draft and falls back to a template if it mentions prices, discounts, guarantees or arrival times.
